How to build, change and publish a landing page with PromptLanding.
Getting started
- Describe your business in the box on the homepage, or start from a ready-made prompt.
- The AI asks a few questions, one at a time: what you offer, who it is for, what visitors should do, your colors and logo. Say "you pick" to anything you don't mind.
- It shows a plan of the page's sections. Say yes, or ask for changes first.
- It builds the page section by section, and the preview fills in as it goes.
A page built from your description has only what you told the AI: it asks for prices, reviews and facts rather than making them up.
A template gives you a finished sample page at once instead, with no questions. Its text, reviews and prices are samples: tell the AI about your business and it replaces them.
Editing by chat
There is no drag-and-drop editor: you change the page by telling the AI what you want, in plain words. "Make the headline shorter", "add a pricing section", "use dark blue for the buttons". Naming the section helps.
To add photos or a logo, attach them in the chat and say what each one is for: JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 5 MB, or SVG up to 256 KB. A screenshot of a site you like works too: say "make it look like this".
A page has no other pages, so extra content such as terms, a privacy policy or a full menu goes in a pop-up opened from a link: just ask for one.
Publishing
- In the editor, open Publish and click Publish Website.
- Your page goes live at your-page.promptlanding.com, named after your project. To change that address, open Advanced in the same window.
Changes you make later go live as soon as the AI has made them. You can unpublish the page at any time in the same window.
Connecting your domain
On Pro and Business, a published page can use your own domain.
- In the Publish window, add your domain under Custom domain, without www: mysite.com.
- The window then shows two DNS records. Copy them before you close it: it shows them only this once, and the only way to see them again is to remove the domain and add it again.
- Where you bought the domain, add both: an A record that points to our address, and a TXT record named _promptlanding-verify that proves the domain is yours.
- Click Check DNS. Active means the TXT record was found. Once the A record has spread too, which can take a few hours, your page loads on your domain, with HTTPS set up for you.
Form messages
Contact, booking and order forms on your page send each message to you by email: to your account's email address, unless you tell the AI where to send them ("send form messages to orders@mysite.com"). The Publish window shows where they go.
Every form has a spam check built in. Test a form on your published page: the preview in the editor can't send messages.
Credits and plans
Every plan comes with credits each month, which pay for the AI's work. Building a whole page usually takes a few hundred credits, and an edit from a few dozen to a few hundred. Your pages stay online when credits run out. See pricing for the plans and what each includes.
Exporting the code
On Pro and Business, the Export code button in the editor's top bar (the download icon; on a phone, Export ZIP in the menu) downloads your page as a ZIP: an index.html with its images, ready to host anywhere. The Code button next to it shows the page's code.
Projects and your account
Rename or delete a project from the settings in the editor's top bar. Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password?" on the login page. To delete your account, write to us.
