Cooked the way our nonna taught us

Chef Marco Ferri opened Ember & Olive in 2014 with his sister Giulia, cooking the dishes their grandmother made in Bologna. What began as a handful of family recipes became a harborside kitchen where almost everything starts from scratch.

Every morning the pasta is rolled and cut by hand. Our pizza dough rests for 48 hours, and the oven burns oak, so each pie comes out blistered, fragrant and a little different from the last.
